You are invited to an Informative Program "Budget Cuts: (How Will They Affect Our Community)?" Tuesday, June 21, 2011 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers There will be six speakers from local agencies. Each speaker will share how recent and expected budget cuts will: ·         Affect their agency ·         The people they serve, and  ·         The community The agencies are: ·         Person County Health Department ·         Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department ·         Person County Department of Social Services ·         Senior Center ·         Piedmont Community College and ·         Partnership for Children/Smart Start Light refreshments will be served  ~~~~~ Sponsored by the Person County Democratic Party

Guess Who's Coming To The DW Next Meeting?

Here’s something else to look forward to at our next meeting! 

 

We will have several special guests from the Democratic Women of North Carolina at our June meeting at Laura’s. (I’m sure it’s on your calendar--Saturday, the 11th, 3:00-5:30 pm.).  Joining us for a good time at the lake will be Sarah Anderson, President; Joan Dressler, Vice-President; and Pat Hawkins, Regional Director. Each of them will share some of their experiences with Democratic Women statewide, and it will be such a pleasure to welcome them to Person County. The “meeting” part of the meeting will start at 4:00 pm, so be sure to be there then. Look for directions and other details from Laura soon.
